There are plenty of benefits to the respiratory system: the aerosol natural gift from the sea is good for health and purification of the airways. So bring the kids pool and the sea, even infants. The sun, in fact, is a blessing and also especially for smaller or premature babies, who are at risk of rickets. Let’s see how to use all the beneficial effects of the sun for our children, without endangering their skin.
Infants
remember only that the skin of children is much thinner and more vulnerable than that of an adult, so you need to protect it with caution. In addition, all surfaces that reflect light from the sun can lead to sunburn. There burns on the snow and also in town, because cement is a reflective surface. Similarly you may get burnt under the umbrella because the sand reflects the sun’s rays.

The solar right
When it comes to children, protection, especially in the early days, must be very high: SPF 50 +. If, during the winter the child has had chickenpox, for the first exposure to the sun you should use the total filter, so that the scars are inflamed.
The solar are commercially available in different formulas: cream or emulsion. For children it is best to choose solar cream, more structured and more protective. Prefer to associate the action of solar sunscreen that disinfectant thermal water. It’s sunscreens contain physical filters or chemical filters. The physical filters are more “natural”, without inert substances, since they act only shielding and reflecting the sun’s rays just like if you put a protective film on the skin of the child. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are among the most used. Chemical filters cost less but their molecules may interact negatively with those of the body.
The sunscreens should not be used on children under 6 months
Moreover, if a product scent attracts insects, you can try one without perfume. The day before using a new product on the whole body of the child you can put a small amount of sunscreen on the inside of the wrist. If you develop an irritation or a rash, change product. Remember to apply before going out and reapply every two hours, more often if the child plays in the water or sweat a lot. Finally, remember to never put a baby oil on baby’s skin before going out.
